It is a shame these two did not get to fight each other. Both are looking very good at the moment. Would be great if Gegard did manage to come in to the UFC and beat Machida.

This fight reminds me alot of the GSP vs Thiago Alves fight just that its at Middle weight… Belfort like Alves good takedown defense with some sick power in his hands and knees{most likely if they win its by Knockout or TKO}… Mousasi like GSP good stand up which should match’s his opponents{Belfort/Alves} but has a big advantage if it hits the ground {Submit or GnP a win} Both are going to be classic match up’s

No surprise here ,Belfort has just adjusted to Middle weight and see’s the power and quickness he has at this weight class. I can also understand his opinion on fighting him at Middle weight where Mousasi was champion ,the respect of beating a champion at his weight class, its not like Mousasi lost the title he just wanted to move up.
