Round 1: Brimage with quick strikes in and out. Both men comfortable on their feet. Doan with a double leg takedown, he is in guard. Doane with a nice transitions to Brimage’s back. He lands strikes to Brimage, really control the ground game. Doane looks to get the second hook in, this is looking bad for Brimage. Doane looks for the rear naked choke, however Brimage doing a good job of defending the choke. Doane stays patient, just waiting on Brimage to make a mistake. Brimage explodes out and they get to their feet with less than a minute left. They exchange to end the round.
Round 2: Brimage with a head kick right off the bat, he mixes things up with leg kicks. Brimage with a big right hook that drops Doane and Brimage swarms on him. However, Doane holds onto the leg of Brimage and get’s his way up to his feet. Brimage with a inside leg kick that drops Doane, but Doane get’s right back up. He switches stances and Brimage is targeting the leg. Doane shoots in on a double leg and gets the takedown. Doane grabs the back of Brimage, landing strikes and continues to search for the choke. Brimage submission defense is really good, he puts him on the fence. Doane presses Brimage on the fence, but Brimage reverses out and we go back to standing with 2 minutes left. Doane clinches, lands a knee to the body and then puts him on the fence where he shoots, but stuffed. Real good round from these two. Doane applies pressure, gets the takedown, but Brimage rolls through right back to their feet.
Round 3: Doane attempts a high kick, but Brimage catches it and gets a single leg takedown. Doane goes for a submission, but Brimage sees it and stands up. Back to the stand up game, they pick their spots when exchanging.
