Hughes, Serra, Machida, and Larson Awarded UFC 98 Fight Night Bonuses
Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, Lyoto Machida, and Brock Larson are each $60,000 richer after earning “Fight Night” bonuses for their performances on Saturday at UFC 98.
Hughes and Serra received “Fight of the Night” honors for their technical matchup that saw Hughes use superior control and position to edge Serra on the scorecards.
Machida earned “Knockout of the Night” for his second-round flurry of punches that collapsed former light heavyweight champ Rashad Evans to the canvas.
“Submission of the Night” went to Larson, who submitted late-replacement Mike Pyle with an arm-triangle choke midway through the opening round of their preliminary contest.

I agree with the first part of your statement rob,but i think machida holding the belt longer than anderson is a bit of a stretch.

i think he might he is pretty amazing and hardly takes any damage i dont know who is going to take it from him might retire with it like anderson silva will. only person i would like to see take it from him is wanderlei (favorite fighter LHW). Machida is 2nd always since sokoju.
I honestly wouldn’t mind if W.Silva won the belt, he is such a classy and cool guy but I’m startin to really take notice in ben jones man. I could c him really making an impact in the lhw division.

Save your breath/fingers, I know they say it will never happen but the sound barrier, walking on the moon, and the earth being round were all impossible at one time.
I think the UFC will throw enough money at it to make it appealing to them both and they will say screw it, lets throw down. They will fight, it will be great, and they will still be friends at the end of the day.
