Charlie Brenneman (19–7) Brenneman stepped into the co-main event fight at UFC Live: Kongo vs. Barry in 2011 against Rick Story and beat him, which was an upset at the time. Brenneman went 1-3 and was cut from the UFC. He went on to fight in local MMA promotions and got a four fight win streak out of it. When he was cut from the UFC he dropped down to 155 (Lightweight) and began fighting. Brenneman came back to the UFC in January of this year and lost to Beneil Dariush via Rear Naked Choke in the 1st round. He is coming off a loss to Danny Castillo via knockout (punch) – Round 2, 0:21 at UFC 172.
Well Brenneman is getting a second chance or better said last chance inside the UFC.
“Charlie’s going to get another chance,” Brenneman’s manager Mike Constantino told MMAjunkie. “Charlie will be back and will get another chance. We’re looking at the fall for him.”
He has won one fight in the last six and still has a job with the UFC. Go out and get a win kid.
No opponent or timetable has been announced for his next fight.
