Diego Sanchez and Ross Pearson are going to get it on Saturday night, but prior to their fight, they talked to reporters on Thursday and here is what they both said prior to fighting each other, also what they expect in this fight.
Sanchez: “See for me, I’ve been in a lot of wars, and if Ross is able to keep up the pace and continue to fight that fight with me, bring it on. But I don’t see it happening. I see him dying down; I see him getting tired. To be really honest, I think that the blueprint is just like the Matt Brown-Erick Silva fight. I see it going down just like that.”
Diego Sanchez (24-7) He has six knockouts, nine submissions and nine decision victories, while he has been knocked out once and lost by decision six times.
Pearson: “I want it to be a Stephan Bonnar-Forrest Griffin fight. I want it to be better than the Clay Guida fight, better than the Gilbert Melendez fight. I’m coming here to state my case in the UFC lightweight division.”
Ross Pearson (15-6) Has five knockouts, five submissions and five decision victories, while he has two knockouts, two submissions and two decision losses in his MMA career.
