Well with only a matter of two weeks after Bellator 120, Bellator MMA has announced details and the opening fight for their upcoming season 11 on Spike which will be called Bellator 123.
James Irvin will make his Bellator MMA debut when he takes on Brennan Ward in a middleweight bout.
When asked about the fight with James Irvin, Ward said: “It’s my time and he had his. I’ve been putting in the work and this guy is just in my way to getting back to where I need to be. The Sandman is going to get planked in the fourth minute of the first round, I’m already calling my shot!”
The fight card will also feature the start of the season 11 middleweight tournament. It should be noted that Bellator will release the participants of the tournament at a later date.
“The Sandman is back. This is where the road turns for me, said Irvin. I’m back, and fighting under the bright lights again for a huge promotion like Bellator, and have a tough test ahead of me in a guy like Brennan Ward. I know he likes to run his mouth and he’s a young guy, but I’m knocking this kid out on my way back to the top.”
The fight card goes down on September 5 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. Look out for more and more fights that Bellator Officials will be adding to this card right here on MMA Frenzy.com
Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday, June 6 at 10AM EST.
