    stay injury-free amir

  • carls says:

ya no kidding, matt brown is going to have fought 4 times before amir fights once since tuff7.

  • gunslinger says:

i expect amir to get hurt again….hopefully he proves me wrong

  • Turk says:

Johny Hendricks on a main card isn’t something wrong with that, or is it just me?

  • Jazzkok says:

I didn’t watch the last season of tuf so i’m not sure why everyone is so anxious to watch amir fight. He did submitt dolloway, but i mean it’s dolloway dude. This card was saved by forrest vs anderson silva because the rest of the fights aren’t as interesting and aren’t really going to affect the rankings for each division.

Forrest imo is a true contender @ 205 and a very well rounded fighter. He’s a big dude with great conditioning and he’s an aggresive technical fighter. He’s the perfect “test” for anderson silva @ 205. It will be very interesting to see anderson against a dude like forrest simply because he hasn’t fought a dude like forrest. Many people say rich franklin is similar to forrest, and i can kind of agree. They’re both big dudes, they’re stand up is smiliar, utilize the leg kicks and trade, but forrest is way more aggressive and he won’t back away from anderson like rich did and if forrest wanted to, he can take the fight to the ground. Something rich didn’t do because he was too scared and isn’t as good as forrest on the ground. I’m not saying forrest has some sik jitz and that we’ve even seen it, but he is more than capable of pulling off a choke or arm bar as we saw him attempt these when he “won” the title. I don’t think i need to say anything about silva. It’s going to be a good fight.

    • Justin says:

Hang on a tick. BJ Penn vs. Kenny Florian isn’t interesting and really isn’t going to affect the rankings for the lightweight division? That is a very interesting position to take.

      • Jazzkok says:

        Justin,

Yo dude i guess i wasn’t clear enough. I meant every fight BESIDES the main event (obviously that’s a sick ass fight) is imo not that interesting and i think forrest vs silva saved this card.

      • OnlyTrue1 says:

I can see what Jazzok means by saying Griffin/Anderson saved this card cause besides B.J/Florian this card is weak.

I’m not interested in Rob Emerson nor Amir nor Kendall. .
Without Griffin/Anderson on this card it look just like a Spike fight night card…

        Jazzok
Did you change your avator from Sting to Skelator???

      • Jazzkok says:

        Onlytrue 1

Wat up dude! I’m flattered you take such interest in my comments and avatar. It’s good to see my fanbase growing. First dbiz now you…tell your friends about me too dude i could always use more :D

      • OnlyTrue1 says:

You still didn’t answer is that Skeletor???

      • Jazzkok says:

        Dude who’s skeletor?

      • fr702 says:

        THE POWER OF GREY SKULL

        FTW

      • OnlyTrue1 says:

        LOL Fr702

        Jazzok he’s your avator.

      • Justin says:

        OnlyTrue1,
He couldn’t have changed his avatar from Sting to Skeletor. It wasn’t sting to begin with, it was “The Crow”.

And if you look at the full image it looks like a grim reaper to me.

Skeletor – Wiki and for sheer entertainment value (adult language warning) Skeletor vs. Beastman featuring Bam Margera

    • OnlyTrue1 says:

      Hahahahah!

      Justin

I know it wasn’t sting nor skeletor hahahaha!!
I was just clowning Jazzok for calling me a fan of his so I thought i’d have a little fun with him since he and I are always bet’ing on changing our Avators as to who ever wins a fight..

      Peace..

      • Jazzkok says:

haha yo i can dig it :D but yeah it’s actually the grim reaper.

      • Jazzkok says:

It’s kool onlytrue1, or as you would say “homie”

I’m not sure they released “The Crow” in small town middle america, so it’s kool dude. You wouldn’t know who the crow is but i KNOW the WWE is huge in those areas so i understand why you would think it was a queer from wrestling.

        Peace :D

      • fr702 says:

the Skeletor v Beastman was well ya not so much I guess I lost my funnybone today…..

      • Justin says:

Well… the Skeletor v. Beastman was a lot funnier to me five years ago when I was in college and first saw it, so I can understand. To me one of the funniest parts about it is that Bam Margera is playing the synthesizer/drum machine/whatever it is.

  • Kenny Florian via tko or sub in the late 3rd

Forrest Griffin by tko or sub in the late 2nd-early 3rd

Kemdall Grove by tko in the 2nd

    Kurt Pelegrino by unanimus decision

Amir Sadollah by sub in the 2nd

Tandam McCrory by sub or decision

Rob Emerson by decision or 3rd round ref stoppage

    Dan Cramer by decision

    Jesse Lennox by decision

Fight Of The Night: Forrest Griffin vs. Anderson Silva
Submission Of The Night: Kenny Florian
Knockout Of The Night: Hard To Call This One

    • OnlyTrue1 says:

      What up MK4

Dude your picks are impossible due to 1. Silva losing in the 2nd??

And Amir wont even be at the fight.. Didn’t you see him get killed by Wanderelie?? I’m sure he’s injuried by now..Again..

I see why that kid stays hurt, when you got Wandy belly to back sufflaying you all over the octagon.

      • what up OnlyTrue1

Why don’t you put up your picks and back up your remarks dude. And after the event we’ll see who was more accurate!

It’s very possible for Forrest to finish Silva in the second round when !!!!LUTTER!!!!! come on !!!LUTTER!!! MOUNTED!! Silva. Silva is the man no question, but at 185, 205 is a different story kid. If Forrest pushes the pace on Silva, it’s very possible for SIlva to get lost and lose his focus, Silva is not invinsible dude so stop talking like he is when !!!LUTTER!!! MOUNTED him. :)

      • OnlyTrue1 says:

You be killing me with the LUTTER mounted him!! LOL

You act like “LUTTER” won!!! When in reality he lost by triangle sub followed by unanswered elbows to the dome. Aint the bjj “LUTTER” field of expertise.

And no Silva is not unbeatable I never said he was but He aint gonna lose 2nd round.

And I would stack my picks against yours but lets be real Amir Sadollah Kurt Pellegrino George Sotiropolos Rob emerson Tamdan McCrory etc etc…. ahhhh I dont know who gonna win those fights and frankly dont care Who wins the Ultimate Spike Edition of Fight Night that I gotta pay 44.95 because I gotta see A.Silva and Forrest Griffin.. Especially when Forrest Subs or Tko’s A.Silva in the 2nd round although he hasn’t Tko or sub some one in the second round since Oct 2005 But hey I believe in Magic any things possible.

      • OnlyTrue1

Dude i just say the whole LUTTER thing for kicks man, it’s just funny to me that he was able to mount SIlva being that Silva is such a great overall fighter, but yeah i do it for laughs too.

  • Forrest Griffin vs. Anderson Silva: This has potential to be fight of the year. They have finally macthed Silva up with someone who will not just lay there like Leites or just try to make it to the 3rd round like Cote….no, ForresT Griffin will come at him and give Silva the fight he’s been waiting for.

Anderson Silva is for sure going to come in more determined than ever before. I’m sure both guys will keep the fight standing and put on a great fight. I don’t see the fight going to the ground unless Silva catches Forrest with a big shot and Forrest resorts to a takedown or vise versa. It’s going to be interesting to see if Forrest’s famous leg kicks can damage Silva or have any effect on his game. It’s also going to be interesting to see if Silva can clinch Forrest and deliver knees.

I think that Forrest’s reach is going to play a big part in the fight. Forrest should try and pick Silva apart so he can force Silva to come in and attack at close range setting up a trading battle.

I honestly feel that this fight should not be boring in any way, whether Silva or Griffin win or lose, these are two guys who always want to fight and slug it out with anyone.

Fight of the year so far for 2009.

    • OnlyTrue1 says:

      Yeah
This should be a great fight, I do mess with you alot about this fight but it should be fight of 2009 forsure.

Forrest will come in this as huge as he can, and will fight his heart out.

Silva knows dana is mad at him and IMO gave him this fight as punishment for his last 2 showings.

Either way Dana wins He either gets a great fight, or A.Silva proves the UFC does have the P4P best fighter in him a guy who fight in 2 wieght classes and wins, and if Forrest wins it just promotes his Tuf boys and Forrest even more….

      Yeah this should be good.

      • OnlyTrue1

This fight will be epic. It has two guys that will leave it all in the octagon.

      • OnlyTrue1 says:

        And I cant wait.
I been calling for A. Silva to fight a 205er since posting on mmafrency but I wanted it to be like B.J./Gsp were he fights for the belt.

I feel he is capable of holding both titles at the same time.
Now this will be a great test to see as Fr702 and I already said Forrest would give him match up problems.

So i’m so excited about this one cause the ufc got it right and we the fans get a match up we want.

Yes sir you called it “epic”

      • carls says:

im taking forrest by decision, andersons a slow starter sometimes and i think forrest can take any round at any time by being cautious and outworking silva using kicks and his reach or take him down like the shogun fight.

  • GarRule says:

B.J. will lose to a SUPER determined and very motivated Kenny Florian. By motivated, I mean his pace and desire. I don’t think B.J. will keep up.

    Florian, round 3, B.J. quitting.

He will later complain that Ken-FLo was extra smelly, and used a top-secret pill that made his body stink, therefore making it impossible to grapple.

  • MIKE says:

um amir getting hurt is kind of getting as old as brett farve retiring

  • nokut says:

Forrest Griffin will beat Anderson Silva mark my words it WILL happen
