UFC officials have announced that Gleison Tibau (28-10 MMA, 13-8 UFC) will meet Pat Healy (29-19 MMA, 0-4 UFC) on the UFC Fight Night 45 card this summer.
Gleison Tibau has 3 knockouts, 12 submissions and 13 decision victories in his MMA career. He has been in the UFC since 2006 when he made his debut against Nick Diaz which he lost via 2nd Rd TKO. He is 2-2 in his last four fights, he lost to Evan Dunham via split decision in February of 2013, he beat John Cholish via 2nd Rd guillotine choke. In August he followed up with another win over Jamie Varner via split decision. In his last fight he lost to Michael Johnson back in December via 2nd rd knockout.
UFC Fight 45 takes place July 16 at the Revel Casino Hotel with the main event is a 155-pound bout between Donald Cerrone and Jim Miller. The main card will air on Fox Sports one while the prelims will air on Fight Pass.
Pat Healy has 6 knockouts, 15 submissions and 8 decision victories in his MMA career. Prior to making his UFC debut and fighting in Strikeforce, he was on a six fight winning streak. He made his UFC debut against Jim Miller which that fight went to a no contest. He lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov via Unanimous decision back in September of 2013. He then went on to lose to Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal via Unanimous decision. This is a make or be cut kind of fight.
