i dont know if the ufc marketing apartments told him to insult hughes and his family every 5 seconds so that it will make people more interested in the fight. but its not working for me.
I’m not a fan of Serra, and this didn’t change that.

Let’s go Serra!
I’ve been waiting so long to see this fight. It’s the perfect way for Matt Hughes to go out. I really don’t have much against Serra, but he talked loads and loads of crap about Hughes.
Hughes cannot lose this fight, if he loses he’ll never hear the end of it and he won’t die a happy camper. He has to finish Serra.
I know that Serra has strong punches especially his right over hand, but he has to load up his punches, which gives Hughes some time block or couter.
The only way i see Hughes taking this fight is by pounding Serra out or scoring a sub. Serra however, has better stand-up than Hughes who has little to none, so Serra should try to keep the fight standing.]
Personlly i want to see Matt Hughes beat Serra and go out on a win if he chosses to retire, Serra already destroyed GSP so he’s never gonna reach a higher mark in his carrer…anyway i’m rooting for Hughes

Hughes is talking rematches with GSP and Alvez was what I heard last.
Even if he gets rematches, i still want him to beat Serra cuz Serra talks loads of crap that he doesn’t back up

More like Hughes is a guy who insulted his mentors. It started that way and then blew up over the years. They’re both at fault for being little kids towards each other. Maybe they’ll beat each other into retirement. I think Serra wants this more and Hughes hasn’t been the same since he left MFS.
Wow….what a douche. But Hughes is no better….I’m praying for a quick finish and we all can move on with our lives.
Does Hughes vs Serra even matter any more? One dude’s 9-5 lifetime including a fluke win for the belt which he lost in his first defence – over a year after winning it -, and the other hasn’t had a significant win in 2.5 years.
yea they both talked alot of trash. matt H did on TUF and now matt S is doing it right now. but i think matt S is going to win.
Huh? You must have watched a different season than I did. I remember every episode being nothing but Serra talking trash. And I remember hughes trying to be diplomatic at times, at least til Serra really got out of control with it.
I’ve never liked Serra. But I admit he does promote himself well. He is loud mouthed enough and antagonistic enough that people still want to see him fight, even if his performances have been sporatic.
I hope they knock each other out cold at the same time!!

cant wait for this fight to happen… that way I dont have to hear about either fighter for a long time. hughes used to be the best, serra eh, I dont like the guy but eh. thats my response for my thoughts of the fight eh. as far as hughes talking/wanting a rematch with alves and/or gsp. he must be losing his damn mind already. alves will destroy him worse than their first fight, alves is just going to continue getting better, and gsp will walk through hughes effortlessly. there is no need for either rematch. hopefully huhges retires after this whether he wins or loses.
serra isnt an entertaining guy for the vlogs like say gsp would be, serra just seems average. I used to cuss like him when I spoke, but I cleaned up my speech. he doesnt seem flashy, or spectacular, just seems like an average guy going through his daily routine. im not bashing him, im just saying thats the vibe I got. I know I said I dont like him, I mean I dont like him as a fighter, as a guy I would like to knock a few beers back with him and see what kind of shennagins we could get into.
