It’s from the Armed Forces Foundation not the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces Foundation is a charitable organization the helps current and former military members.
Yeah, I guess you missed UFN 16: Fight for the Troops. And the fact that probably Dana donates lots of his money to this charitable organization, and doesn’t run around announcing how much money he donated like some people like to do when they give to charity.
Good comment Justin. Regardless of the fact that Dana is a businessman, I believe he is truly a patriot and loves this country. He even said “pussies” during his acceptance speech which is awesome! Those who don’t think the armed forces do “humanitarian” things need to do some homework. Direct action, or what hollywood often contends is the only thing the military does, is just one of many military missions. Others include humanitarian aid, peacekeeping missions, and let’s not forget disaster relief within our own borders.
yes they do great work, (although not all of their commandds are so great, wise or humanitarian)
dana is good hearted for supporting them as fellow americans.
but i support the troops by saying: bring them home.
our great country is not perfect, and only relatively reently allowed blacks ans woman to vote. so wasting our valiant young men over there, and thinking that we need to interfere in other civilizations is wastful mettling.
there i said it now for responses that lump foreign interference with 911,self defense. most americans should feel safer under obama and co. who see the possibilities between ‘with us or against us’
man i thought civial rights and womens rights happened a while ago….but i guess my history teacher was wrong man…i didnt know it happened recently man dont be dumb really! because man i almost certantly thought they just elected a black president in the US but i guess maybe im mistaken(i said they also because i dint vote for the president we have now)…….women have more rights than men now a days…if a man rapes a women he gets life in prison but if a women teacher has sex with an under age boy she gets a slap on the hand
also our valiant young men signed up to be in the war…you sign up thats what you get ya people want them home but theres no reason to complain about it and there definitly wasnt a reason for people blaiming bush for it because unlike what “obama” said the troops still havent come home and he does plan to send them somewhere else…so much for the almighty first black presidnet who everyone wants to vote for just because he is black and a smooth talker who has a way with his words….I see so much obama crap these days it makes me sick i respect the guy but i dont have to like him and ill be damned if i ever support him
Its a tricky situation, but lets keep this realitively nice and not begin a political thread.. If you guys would like to do so feel free to start a thread of your own in the forum section… I get what you guys are saying but non the less these arguments are best to have their own thread in the forum section, cheers….
That has very little to do with the direction in which you have tried to take the thread. The original story is about Dana getting an award for charitable work, you tried to make it a political argument about foreign intervention vs. isolationism and “americans(sic) should feel safer under obama(sic) and co. who see the possibilities between ‘with us or against us’,” whatever that means.
anyone find it disturbing that the armed forces give out a humanitarian award?
It’s from the Armed Forces Foundation not the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces Foundation is a charitable organization the helps current and former military members.
the armed forces,
yes, disturbing.
and to dana white!
not that i don’t respect his expertise in mma but c’mon.
or perhaps he’s gor a whole life that i just haven’t heard about.
entertaining troops while the carry out their orders is a humanitarian act?
i missed something right?

I’m biting my tongue on this one (so to speak)… I try to keep my political views off of this site as much as possible.

i generally agree but i didn’t start a thread: Dana White Receives Armed Forces Foundation Humanitarian Award
