UFC Fight Night: Sam Stout Vs. KJ Noons Now A Welterweight Match

tuf nations finale

Sam Stout and KJ Noons were scheduled to weigh-in Tuesday for a scrap in the lightweight division at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale from Quebec City, Canada.

However, after both fighters approached the UFC requesting the fight be changed to a welterweight bout, the Quebec athletic commission has approved such a move.

A release from the UFC confirmed news of the fight change:

The lightweight bout originally scheduled between Sam Stout and KJ Noons for UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Kennedy has been changed to a welterweight contest. The fighters approached the UFC to request the change in weight class, and it was subsequently approved by both the UFC and the Quebec athletic commission, the RĂ©gie des alcools, des courses et des jeux.

Stout (20-9-1) has fought at lightweight his entire career, going 5-3 in his last eight overall. Noons (12-7) is coming off his first Octagon win, a decision over George Sotiropoulos last October.
