War Machine is not a UFC veteran. i think that term is used a little losely! Just cause you have a few fights in the UFC doesn’t mean your a vet. !
Maybe I missed something, but who called him a UFC vet for you to make that comment?
Taken from front page:
“UFC veteran War Machine submitted Reshad Woods”
Gotcha, I was only looking on this page, and I was looking at the site on my phone at the time. Thanks jonboy2.
Having even one fight in the UFC would technically make one a UFC veteran since he is not a rookie, having already made his debut. A bit semantic, to be sure, but true nonetheless.
Steve-O, I hear what you’re saying. It seems like the term veteran is over used in MMA. For an example, Nick Diaz seems to always be announced as a UFC and Pride verteran. UFC, without a doubt. Pride verteran after one fight with Gomi? Just a good plug for a sale I guess.
Agreed!
veteran_ – a peron with long experience of a particular activity.
2 UFC fights- long experience?
with a 7-2 record he is hardly a MMA veteran.
Again, semantics: 7-2 PRO record.
