Atencio, Rizzo-Yvel Added To June 27th MMA Event

Affliction vice president Tom Atencio will return to MMA action more than four years after successfully making his debut in the sport, as he’ll appear on the June 27th MMA pay-per-view event at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi, which is headlined by Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp.
MMA Fanhouse first reported the bout yesterday, with Atencio confirming he’ll be appearing on the card against an opponent to be named in a bout that’s likely to take place at 160-pounds.
Atencio (1-0) made his MMA debut in January 2005 with a decision victory over David Martinez at Total Combat 7.
Also confirmed for the card was a heavyweight bout between Pedro Rizzo (16-8) and Gilbert Yvel (35-13-1).

MMA I think I give the edge to Atencio for his jits, but if they boxed I would definitely give the edge to Dana…. but if they were to ever do that it would mean co-promoting, and we know Dana doesn’t do that.
If it was co-promoting with a chance to kick a rival’s a– I have to think he’d consider it haha

I would like to see atencio-joe rogan. both guys have skill in bjj and if atencio wins then they come back to the ufc and let guys wear their shirts again, no more tapout, and if rogan wins then atencio stops talking and dana could get 5 free shots on atencio. I would love to see that and I know dana would love to punch the hell out of atencio.
