  • WhatO says:

Bielkheden was 157. Is it two-pounds over in Canada?

    • Jonplustwo says:

2 pounds is def. over. He was given time to cut but, I don’t know how long. Anybody have insight?

      • chrisl says:

you will probably hear more around fight time, usually part of the purse is forfeited to the opponent.

      • Kris Karkoski says:

Bielkheden didn’t even take off his shorts to try to make 156 on his first try, which was weird but he was given an extra hour and re-weighed in at 156 later in the evening. UFC.com didn’t mention him missing weight at all so it must not have been a problem.

      • chrisl says:

did bielkheden sign on short notice?

  • jazzkok says:

i hope leites can upset anderson silva, so we can see a jitz war between leites and maia and a possible cote vs silva 2.

So what’s the record for most title defenses and how holds the record? is it hughes and tito?

also i want to see the crow and dennis kang win

  • huertarogerhuerta says:

kongos 232? hes gonna need to put on some pounds to compete wit the likes of brock(265) carwin(255) or mir(251 i think is wat he weighed in at against nogs)

  • bigchris2328 says:

i believe the record for consecutive title defenses is 5 held by hughes and tito. if silva wins I think it is his 5th defense, however his defense over cote should have an asterik. that fight was stopped because of cote’s knee injury. I highly doubt silva will keep the title for another year. he has leites, then maia, if he gets by both he will have either bisping or hendo, then marquardt or cote. that is a very tough list of guys. i am suprised silva came in at 182. I heard he walks around over 220. that is a 40 pound loss. I know he didnt do it in a day or a week, but damn thats a lot of weight. I hope this card is exciting with ko’s and very few decisions.

    • tjack says:

I like ur style man lol but I wouldn’t mind a couple of submissions as well

    • chrisl says:

it’s a pretty safe bet Anderson won’t have the title for another year. he “retires” at the end of his contract which he says will be w/n a year if he’s set up for it. So if he beats Leites it’s Maia and Dana has said he wants to set up Silva-GSP if both fighters haven’t lost before the end of August so expect that fight and then two more(one of which may be at 205 if Machida loses).

It will be his 5th attempted defense since Lutter did not make weight and Irvin was at 205 so both were not title fights.

Also you can’t put an asterisk on the Cote fight. Cote getting injured means a technical KO. It’s annoying to lose due to an injury(cuts are injuries) but it’s part of it ask the late Eilers, Shogun, Fedor, F Shamrock (intended) etc. Fedor isn’t considered undefeated just because of a cut, even though it was an illegal(not opinion it is fact) elbow that gave him the cut.

  • RonnyRAGE says:

This card is stacked top to bottom

  • chrisl says:

    Should be a great card.

  • Jerod says:

I never realized how big Antoni Hardonk is. Everybody knows what a monster Cheick Kongo is, but watching the weigh-in, Hardonk looked every bit as big, if not bigger than Kongo. That really surprised me. Hopefully everybody’s chinstrap is buckled, because there’s gonna be a lot of big bombs being thrown around in that one.

I hope Loiseau’s fight makes the PPV show. I’m glad to see him back in the UFC.

  • matt says:

seems strange that silva is at 182, i thought he is usually spot on 185. i was thinking maybe he has been ill the past week or so and not been able to eat properly. which obviously affects his fight.

  • Turk says:

Man, I’m so amped for tonight haven’t been this excited for a while. I’m looking for Silva to once again be victorious and Chuck also. The card is one of the best in a while top to bottom I’m almost guarantee that there will be some sick KOs. I also thought Anderson’s weight was a lil strange being under the limit wonder if it will affect the fight pry not though it’s “THE SPYDER” were talking about after all.

  • Jaymz says:

The Spider at 182? Perhaps he’s prepping for GSP?

    • Justin says:

Why would Silva cut down to fight GSP, GSP should have to come up to fight him, not to mention why would he start “prepping” for GSP when they each have to fight someone else first. Then you add on the fact that Silva is a proud Brazilian which means he’s probably going to be pulling for Alves against GSP.

      • Jaymz says:

That was semi-sarcastic.But by prepping-I meant cutting, cause it will probably be at a catchweight.Either way GSP ‘WOULD’ have to come up.And Silva can pull for Alves all he wants,it’s not going to change the outcome.

      • Justin says:

I knew exactly what you meant, and my point still stands. I could be wrong but I don’t expect it to be at a catch weight if it happens, I would expect it to take place at 185.

The point I was making about him pulling for Alves was that if he is hoping for Alves to win, why would he start getting ready in April for a fight that he hopes never happens when he has to fight someone else now and that potential fight wouldn’t be at least until September or October.
